perfecto26 art - Mixed Media Artist

Toto, also known as Perfecto 26 Art, is a Timorese artist based in Crewe, UK, whose captivating artworks reflect a unique blend of watercolor, pen drawings, and acrylic, with a distinctive touch of pointillism. Born Milton Manuel Edyh Calado in East Timor, Toto discovered his passion for art at a young age and was inspired to pursue it as a means of storytelling and self-expression.

Toto's artistic style encompasses thought-provoking human interest pieces, often offering a critical perspective on societal issues both within Timor-Leste and on a global scale. With every brushstroke and meticulously placed dot, Toto captures the essence of the subjects he portrays, emphasizing their significance in the world.

Formally educated in fine art at the Institute of Arts & Culture in Bandung, Indonesia, Toto also honed his skills as an apprentice in Studio Patung Harry, specializing in painting and sculpture. His dedication and talent have earned him recognition, including notable exhibitions held in Timor-Leste, Indonesia, and most recently, his inaugural exhibition in the UK, titled "Haksolok Ami," coinciding with Timor-Leste's Independence Day on May 20, 2023.

Beyond his proficiency in fine art, Toto is a versatile artist who explores various creative endeavors. As a tattoo artist, screen printer, sculptor, and street artist, he expands his artistic horizons, continually seeking new ways to express his vision. Toto's multifaceted approach not only enriches his artistic repertoire but also fuels his ability to engage diverse audiences through different mediums.

Inspired by renowned artists such as Van Gogh, Dali, and Banksy, as well as his mentor Harry Susanto, Toto continues to evolve as an artist, pushing boundaries and challenging conventions. Through his art, he aims to convey the profound importance of the figures, objects, or humans he depicts, sparking dialogue and prompting viewers to reflect on the world around them.

Toto's artistic journey encompasses not only his personal growth but also his commitment to promoting the arts within his community. He has organized impactful events such as Timor-Leste's Tattoo Festival, Street Art Festival, and Art Days, sharing his knowledge and fostering a deeper understanding of art among fellow artists and art enthusiasts.

With each creation, Toto's passion and dedication shine through, inviting viewers to immerse themselves in the depth and beauty of his work. Through his distinctive artistic style, he invites us to explore and embrace the stories that art has to tell.
